I wonder what that silver plate is on top? It doesn't look like a flip finder.

The thing on top reminds me of a "ball joint" mount connection....?

The Tasco 99VR I had was a Diamond-Z. It is my understanding that Diamond-Z scopes are assembled using some Vixen parts.
