Markus often has some real nice finds, although he seems to be a little high on just about everything he sells. It all depends on how bad you want something I suppose and $8,000 is out of my price range for something like this and I would love to have it.

Oh, for just a few dollars "less" you can get some really nice binos made of out (2) 150 f/12 MakCass telescopes or for a few dollars more, you can buy a really nice bino setup and mount made from (2) 4" Vixen Fluorite(s) on a LX200 GOTO.

If I ever hit the PowerBall lottery I am doing 3 things immediately.

1) Give the wife several million to keep her occupied while I implement steps 2 and 3.

2) Purchase APM's entire inventory of classic Zeiss and Nikon refractors.

3) Purchase the Miyauchi Galaxy 141mm APO binocular.

4) Build an observatory on 1000 acres of land in a remote area.

Ok, so that's 4.

I want one, but not THAT bad... though $8k might not be a bad deal if it was complete with all the original eyepieces and accessories and a few goodies like the dual view option and the Herschel wedge...
