attachicon.gif Nexstar EVO 9.25 PIC 4.8.25.jpg

Added some things since my last pic:

  • Baader Maxbright 2" dielectric diagonal.
  • Baader Morpheus 12.5mm & 14mm.
  • Baader Neodymium 2" (Moon & Skyglow) filter.

Is that the Talentcell Li-lion 11000mah velcro'ed (?) to the side of the tube?  If so, a cool idea as I try to have nothing to trip over in the dark but had not thought of this as it is additional weight on the tracking components.......

Thx!

Marc

There are only a couple of other Nexstar 102SLTs (OTA) in this thread, so here is my 15-year-old 120SLT (cost £299.99 new), although it's sitting on an AVX mount as the Nexstar Mount (still working) is only really good for visual (or holding an iphone over the eyepiece).

Ill post my image later...Nexstar 8se with starsense on an Ultima Wedge and tripod (actually, this has never ben brought out at night as it replaced an older unit and I have beenn busy or otherwise not able).

One question though. I find that when trying to slew in order to aim my optical finder (I dislike the rinky-dinky red dot one included). i am constantly overshooting as teh slew just speeds up. Any solution to this? I have triel all of the settings. i am using the SS handset.
