How to observe sun with NexStar11. Solar projection is not allowed and Celestron make solar filter only for smaller telescope.

Oldi:

Orion makes a 12.3" diameter full aperture glass filter that may fit your SCT. Call them and talk to their technical people. I personally like the Orion solar filters very much. Also, you can always buy Baader solar film (same as that used in Celestron filters), and make your own cell for your scope.

Try Thousand Oaks. Get an off axis filter. You don't need a full aperture filter.
