As i have mentioned in other posts, my 5" etx has a white tube. In e-correspondence with Clay Sherrod, I described my in-focus high power star image and he said the collimation was good. He also told me the following about the "white tube" model:
"There is no printed material available, nor was any every produced, on that
scope; it was designed strictly for some industrial applications and apparently
never used or delivered to the original application; they were sold off as
surplus, yet have some of the finest optics that have ever been put into that
size telescope."

If anyone has additional info on these, such as optical specs (secondary size, etc.) let me know. The ring at from just says the usual 127mm fl 1900.

thanks

jay
