 I spin grind also  . The only zone I see spin polishing is in the very center and when correcting it cleans up in 15 min so I know it is not much . . Another thing with spin polishing I only need a turn table and have a manual over arm .

Here's another example in my occasional updates, this time on the short f/ratio side - 18" fused silica f/3.57, 5 sessions as described in general tek, jail bar straight Ronchi, perfect balanced diffraction edge.  

 

This is a hand-held shot of the KE inside focus cutting across axis, as described earlier:

Would someone please do some house cleaning. This topic (yeah it's old) starts off good and then gets a bunch of curve balls thrown at it which makes it  more and more confusing. Is there an update anywhere ?
