Also, I have created a few large catalogues for CdC.
For ex.:

1. I/289 The UCAC2 Catalogue(Zacharias+ 2003):
2. I/294 The UCAC2 Bright Star Supplement (Urban+, 2004)
3. I/268 UCAC1 Catalogue (Zacharias+ 2000)
-----------------------------------------------------------
But these catalogues are available only on the DVD disk.

Thanks for the link! Oooooooo Carbon Stars! I love Carbon Stars!!! Aaaaaaaaa. :p Lots of other goodies as well! Gota love CDC.

Testing CDC 3.0.1.4 on a spare computer. Much nicer interface and look than 2.76 though 2.76 is still my work horse right now. Testing goes on. :p

Oleg,

Here is a bump for you. Congrats on some serious contributions to Astronomy! I am wondering, is there a step by step on how to get the most popular catalogues into CDC (nebula...NGC etc.), so that it works conveniently for the lazy astronomer?

Hi All,

I have a need for Sharpless nebula catalog.
Any idea where to get one?

I'm using CDC 3 at the moment.

All catalogues from http://www.ap-i.net/...t/uk/catalogues are in exe installers.
For example: cdchipvarper.exe and so on.

Just click on for its installation.

All my catalogues are installed in the folder c:\Program Files\Ciel\cat\ZAC as default.

Also, look item "Stars and Nebulae catalogs prepared with the CATGEN software:" on the page http://www.stargazin.../doc/edoc2.html

Oleg,

I am not familiar with too many catalogs...I'm basically a computerized telescope user, so I'm pretty ignorant of them. Could you suggest one or more to download? I am mainly interested in imaging.

Thanks,

Paul

I use cdc 2.76,its huge collection of cats & with 4" Newt while observing things like chking orientation of close doubles,planning FOV for exposure etc.

Does anybody know if it has got Uranometria 2nd ed. overlays? or,if not; how to create it? I've seen 1st ed.boundaries in cdc but since me having 2nd ed.its useless.

If thats available,straightaway A3 prints from cdc by bumping stars upto 12mag & objects 15mag for selected fields w'd be easy.It will serve bigscope deepsky work.

Oleg;

Just so you know the only complete catalogs I put into the SAC deep sky database v. 8.0 are Messier, NGC and Barnard. All the rest are the "best of" those objects.

I would be interested in seeing the asterism catalog included, that could get me interested in CdC.

Thanks;
Steve Coe

Hmmm... :confused:

Do you need converted catalogue SAC_Asterisms_Ver30.zip for CdC?
See Attachment.
