I have an old 6" F8 Newtonian reflector, which I made 23 years ago. I purchased an equatorial mount back then from Bill Schaeffer. I am currently reconditioning both the mount and telescope.
I am looking for replacements for the setting circles which are about 1/2" thick by about 7" diam. with an internal diam. of 1.25". In other words, the setting circles would fit on 1.25" diam. shafts. They are made of plastic. They are black with white engraving. I suspect these setting circles were made by Byers.
Does anyone know where I might be able to locate replacements for these setting circles? Byers is no longer making setting circles this small. I don't necessarily need original ones. Any good quality analog setting circles of near size will do.
