Just took mine out to look at those huge ole sunspots, through a homemade baader filter, and did a side by side with my TV102 and Genesis SDF. The 4" ers had a little resolution advantage (obviously), but not a whole heck of a lot. Amazingly (optically) this little guy held right in there with the two big guns. I'm pleased as punch.

The SDF gave the best views at 108x, the TV102 was a *very* close second at 97x, and right smack dab on their tail was the ED80 at 100x.

The ED80 makes a dynamite little solar scope. Hopefully I'll get a chance to use it at night sometime soon.... Darn clouds...
