This is a little picture I made up from my imagination to show others (who've never looked through a scope before) approximately what an open cluster...something like M35...looks like through my 8" dob. (you might need to look at this in a dark room to see it properly).
Eventually I want to record my favorite actual clusters like M41, M35, M37, M36, M37 etc...make a detailed, negative pencil sketch from my scope, then scan it in my computer and invert the colours to get a positve image, then paint a picture from it with oil paints.

Thats good, different and yeh it does look like what you would see through a scope.
