I have been asked by Tel,s wife Hilde, to inform the CN forums and in particular this Celestron Nexstar group, that Tel is in hospital with a serious case of Pheumonia. I`m sure you have noticed that Tel has not been posting these past few days and i`m sure his presence has been missed due to his illness.

Hilde has kindly kept me up to date as to his condition, and, i will keep you updated as to his progress and hopefully a speedy recovery will soon have him back posting here on the forums.

Lets all wish him well and a speedy recovery !.

tom.

It is recomforting to think that infectious diseases are reversible with good antibiotics.

»Best wishes to Tel and his wife. He will get better soon, i am sure. He is a fighter.

Tom,

Thank you for letting us know the situation with Terry ... I was beginning to worry as it isn't like Tel to be 'missing in action' for such a long period of time in this forum. Thoughts and prayers sent to Tel for a speedy and complete recovery!

Get better soon, young Mr. Bridgwater ... them's orders! :ubetcha:

Thanks to all for your messages and prayers for Tel, i will of course contact his wife Hilde as soon as i have writen this, to pass on your kind words and encouragement for him to get over this current illness as soon as possible.

Tel`s wife Hilde would have let you know sooner, but she had no idea how to post a message, so she requested that i should do so for her, i know both she and Tel will be very grateful for your concerns and prayers. when i email Hilde, i will add the link to this page to the email, so that she can see for herself and let Tel know we are thinking of him.

I dare say i will know more tomorrow and will of course update you all with Hilde`s permission.

Thanks to all,

Tom.

Francois...that is what I am worried about..and my fingers are crossed that it is bacterial Pneumonia

But Pneumonia can be caused by both viruses and also from Fungi... and neither is very easily treated...but for the most part are not life threatening.. only reason for giving antibiotics to someone with a viral pneumonia caused by the flue or other virus is prevent a bacterial infection...

I'm praying they have him hooked up to an IV drip
with the drug to KILL the organism...

Yes Tel is currently on an IV drip and the hope is that the antibiotics will do the job,his wife did tell me though, that a drain may be used to help clear his left lung of fluids!
