Nothing special, but extremely convenient. The platform for my NexStar 6SE is my deck's railing post right outside my patio door 8 feet away. This eliminates the need for my tripod. The upper deck is isolated from the lower deck and has it's own support structure so there are no vibrations from people on the lower deck. I plan on adding a wireless camera and running my NexStar 6SE from the dining room when it's too cold to sit outside in winter.

I just put this rig together so I could enjoy visual astronomy while I am imaging. It’s a 6” GSO Classical Cassegrain on a Meade LX70 mount.

At dusk with my iPhone last night. I just got this little Zenithstar 66 in trade from another CN member. I ripped it down to bare pieces, and meticulously cleaned and lubricated it, including the ball bearings in the focuser. It's an amazing little Scope.

It looks even TINIER on my Atlas smile.gif I'm worried my CGEM may hit the market soon, because this ATLAS is just a dream to operate.

I purchased a Versago ii mount and just put it on top of my pier extension for the CG4. Works perfectly.

A work in progress. My old (but not as old as me) Cave-Astrola mount. The SV102 rides nicely on top. The mount sits upon a 50 inch tall steel pedestal. Weighs a ton!

Cheers,
Tom

This is exactly what I need for my 6" refractor!

Interesting cable Mod, did you do that yourself?

The eye bolts are a nice touch also.

I did make the cable mod myself. I read through Bedun's DIY replacement guide and built it with a few mods of my own. Instead of threaded DIN connectors I used DB-9 ports and cables since they have the needed 9 conductors, are common, are easy to connect in very low light, and can be positively affixed with the little thumb screws. I also omitted the daughter boards of Bedun's DIY design and have header sockets wired to the DB-9 ports that then plug directly onto the mount's boards. It was a cleaner solution that required less soldering. The ports themselves are held in 3d printed fixtures that are screwed to the pier and attached to the head with double sided foam tape. The result is no permanent changes to the mount and a much more stable cabling system with cables that can be easily replaced if needed.

The  eye bolts may not be aluminum and orange, but they cost about $4 and I can use them with a carabinier to hold the hand controller.

This is my modified Losmandy G11. It was an original Celestron which I have completely rebuilt (and added custom mods). It is self-contained and fully portable.

Great setup indeed... One question though... What is the reason behind putting counterweights behind the RA assembly?

My imaging setup on a homemade pier. I started with the CEM25 but just upgraded to the eq6-r pro a few days ago, so I made a simple adapter plate to go from iOptron base to the skywatcher. Well and truly overmounted, but it give me some room to grow. The eq6-r is close to needing a smaller weight to balance my small scope once I went to OAG.

Hi! this is my new mount a Vixen Porta II.

For a long time I wished for a nice grab&go mount that would not require alignments. I received it in early May but had some issues on the Altitude gear, but a couple weeks ago I had fully resolved with the kind help of the vendor.

77 New mount Old reflector
Before the fix with a Vixen R114M (114/900), at a beach resort

73 Vixen New Porta II mount And Old tray And slow motion knobs

With a new altitude gear and the Vixen FL55SS (55/303), at home

74 Vixen Porta II And FL55SS

I got this plate because I don't like to use the focuser knobs sideways.
