You can bet I will.
Just so y'all know my thinking, a classic to me doesn't necessarily imply it is totally original. None of mine are, except for the little 6TE, and even it has had a little modding.
In my world of classic scopes, my meaning leans toward the lens itself, and in that, they are all classic, as this new one will be. As such, various other parts may or may not be "classic". Case in point, this one will have a Wyorock crayford focuser, seen here....

Newest. Still needs the baffles yet, but a good picture of how it looks all together.

All pictures so far and in the future here used by permission.

I'll go along with that! You can add my 80mm f/15 to that list, as he built it too. Plus the 60/400 he just sent me. Pictures of the two new ones to come in a couple of days.

Sheldon is a great guy! One of the guduns from our hobbie!! He sent me a AR 5" lens once and it was a little bit on the shot side!! So he sent me a whole 5" scope to replace it!!! Of course I sent him a little more money but he wanted less than it could or should have been. The scope is at the Kids obsevatory to show them a refractor as the main scope is a reflector. One of them called it the (Blak Buety) on a paper he wrote!! :roflmao:
Observation Report on the 5" Nice star test suprizingly good lens!! I belive its a China made scope..

Well, the 100mm arrived yesterday, and it is too cold and wet to paint. So I stuck it together temporarily and took a picture of it. It is longer than my C6R, and 3lbs lighter.

An update. This scope is performing above and beyond. Finest scope I own, no exaggeration. The planetary detail is awesome. Mars at 217x as clear as a Hubble picture, as was Saturn at 0100 this morning. Rings still thinnish but ring shadow sharply delineated. Mars, polar cap so obvious, surrounded by dark area, and one small whitish feature visible on the limb about mid-planet.
M42 looks like a real cloud in this scope, and at 108x all six Trap stars easy. At same power Rigel companion and Polaris companions easy.
Wish I had more time, but hitting the road again probably tomorrow, and tonight it's clouds and rain.
Finally got a finder scope on it. Pics to follow.
