Great report! Sadly the Voyager 4.5 software is not compatible with my Vista system. :( I exchanged several e-mails with them (they are extremely quick & thorough in their replies!); however, they could not come up with a solution. Seems a couple of others had the same problem as I have.

I'm hoping in the near future, the "bug", will be worked out, so I can use & enjoy it!

Nice article and review David. Like you I've tried other software over the years, happily using ECU for years then to Starry Night when I moved to Mac. Unfortunately it's become bloated and sloooowwwwwwwwwww. I tried then bought the CD download of Voyager last year and have been extremely happy with it. What ultimately sold me on Voyager are the visual Double Star models with graphical position and separation - a big aid when tracking down close and high contrast doubles. That plus the DSO photo catalog included with the data and accessed similar to Virtual Moon Atlas makes it a wonderful product.

Edit - Carol, just read your comment and surprised as Voyager 4.5.5 runs great on my Dell Inspriron 1318 w/ Vista Home Premium.

It's just some kind of a glitch; it would get to the part saying that it required Adobe Reader, & would not go any further installing. A few others had the same problem.

I haven't had the opportunity to try again; it's probably fine now.

From what I saw on their website, & with this review, it is without a doubt a tremendous program!

Again, to the OP; Thank you for the review!

I have an iOptron MiniTower... I understand this will drive it?? I'm a total novice when it comes to interfacing a go-to mount with a computer.
Thanks-
