This is a camera I have seriously considered. Thanks for the review. This is indeed a difficult choice and I have been pondering for many months...this was very helpful.

Glad it was helpful. You're right, it's tough... I pondered a lot of other options for months before settling on the QSI, especially some things Apogee makes, and an STL-11000 back when SBIG was having some big sales on these, but I'm glad I ended up making the choice I did. You can tell they thought hard about the design before they built it, and then they kept the build quality high to live up to the engineering. Good luck sorting through your own decisions, whatever you end up with.
