This scope was sold with a price saying "if you don't buy it at this price, the Western World will plunge into a deflationist depression, which will leave hundreds of millions hungry and limit access to compression-ring adapters. Do your duty".

I might not keep the C11, but the mount is a keeper.
My 6 year old daughter is taking the pic, explaining my concerned face and the fact the picture was "uprighted".

People are going hungry because the are buying scopes. People like me! That's why they invented peanut butter.

What will be your new scope?

Well, even though I can find peanut butter here in France, buying scopes is perhaps the secret of my narrow waistline.

Surprisingly enough, I am not planning any new scope purchase for the while (even stayed off Astromart for 2 full hours!). I'm more trying to sell the 12" dob first" (hard to justify, even for myself, having a 12" and an 11"). Then after a while, I might be tempted trading it for a 9.25, who knows.

Funny you should mention the 9.25. Just bought a used one a couple of weeks ago and haven't had a clear sky since.

Matt,
Even an SRF will tell you that is a good looking setup!
Congrats on the purchase.

Matt:

Nice scope. You joined the hordes (well at least 12 of us on CN) of C-11 owners!

You should enjoy it.

There's an extra counterweight. And it's true the ZIF, 2" diagonal are going to tip the balance.

I think the concerned face was more likely caused by anticipation of the comments on your shorts from other CNers. Nice looking scope, though. ;)

Whenever outside temperature gets over 10°C, I'm in shorts.

I have a pair just like them, but it's not warm enough here yet. And since we're already off-topic, I'll be in Paris the weekend of June 10th - 13th, and will gladly buy you a coffee if you're around.
