I was there! (summer 09)
It's great! This summer we were among the first to see the Bird impact on jupiter-we caught it on the next rotation at 3:45 in the morning.
Everyday at camp we would learn about various astronomical subjects- and would view them (weather permitting) all night. For the camper, it's a week with nothing to do but observe. Highly recommended!

many of us talk about the need for outreach,
the need to get young people involved,
but you walk the walk
I'm impressed,

I was a camper at Eberhart in 1984. We did some basic astronomy at that time which sparked my interest to get my first scope a few months later!
