I’m saddened to announce Milt Wilcox has passed away. Milt quietly fought a decade-long battle with cancer.
Milt was a long-time Cloudy Nights member and even longer respected member of the astronomy community.
Milt was quite a knowledgeable amateur and never hesitated to share his knowledge with others in the community. He was critical of equipment but never critical of people. Milt will be remembered as helpful, reserved and always pleasant, a true gentleman.
From Sedona, Arizona, Milt retired in 1999. He commented, “I rediscovered astronomy in 1999 when I retired and since then have been trying to catch up to the rest of you!”
On CN he posted exclusively to the binocular forum.
Our condolences to his family and loved ones.
Another Fallen Star.
