Tom,
Thank you so much for your NEAF reports! It sounds like that would have been a really special astronomy event to be at.

Hi Tom,
Yep - I was one of those that was clogging up the Webcam lines

Thanks so much for your fine NEAF-2010 coverage, and very readable and enjoyable report - can't wait for Part-2.

Regards,

skybsd

Tom,
Great report and great pictures as well. I had planned on going but work prevailed, so I told my boss that I am taking my vacation when NEAF 2011 takes place. I am also saving my pennies now so I can spend guilt free, or relatively speaking ;)

Very nice summary, looking forward to part II. In the second paragraph you include the sentence "Which will, incidentally be archived on the site for those that couldn't get into see them as they were happening." that caught my attention as I missed the whole thing. Where do/will I find these? Thanks!

Thanks for the comments folks. Part II will be up later this week.

The videos from NEAF 2010 have not been posted yet. They need to be digitized and uploaded. As they are, they will be posted here - so just keep an eye out. The videos will include all the interviews, speakers and the NEAF walkthrough.

There are *several* hours worth.

Great report and pics! I had a great time. Walking in on the 2nd floor level looking out over that exhibit floor is always a great experience. The excitement hits you right away. Great job!

Hi Tom,

Nice report, thanks for your hard work!

I assume the Lunt scope you hinted at is the new 152mm solar scope/refractor. A friend of mine here in Tucson got the first one off the assembly line. Gorgeous scope. I hope to hear more about it in a CN report... :)

Thanks! I wish to be there to meet all astronomers and CN members!
Would be nice something like that in Chicago area! 3 places .... east (NEAF), midwest and west! Then all astronomers have chance to go to great astonomy show, meet all people and buy good stuff!

Thanks for the report Tom. I followed the walkthrough on Saturday and attended the show on Sunday. This was my 4th NEAF and I continue to be impressed with the array of vendors that come out each year.

I arrived Sunday morning just as the interview with Al and David Nagler was beginning, so I had a front row seat:
