Hey Thomas! I am sure we can have you all packed up and ready to roll early enough on Sunday. I never found that filter either. But I bought another to replace it. This time I will put a GPS tracker on it. I'm not sure which camper I will be using this year though. Either a small popup, or a friend's small RV.. Oh, decisions decisions.
I am sure my registration has been accepted. The website was updated to read; There are 331 of 475 registrations taken, 144 available. The last 100 free spots usually go quickly, so don't wait too much longer -- every year we unfortunately have to turn people away, and for some reason, this year we are selling out faster than last year.

So, we'll see ya'll there!

Hey Jeff,
How have you been. Can't wait till BFSP so we can catch up. We will be heading up on Wed this year. Julianna has to work on Monday so I'll be packing up late Saturday early Sunday. No all day lazy pack up for me this year.

Does anyone have info on the food vendor? The website says
May's will be there, but I am told they retired and won't be there.

Will it be the same outfit that did CSSP?

Thanks

That is a good question. Although it has no effect on me since I take my own food.

If it is, stay away from the pizza! (Other food OK)

I love pizza. :p It's cardboard I don't like! :(

(But, as I said, everything else was perfectly good star party food.)

Don't know, but it was bad, really bad. The caterer was Fox's Pizza in Galeton. The problem with the pizza was that it was not fresh, but frozen and then heated in an oven. It tasted like the cardboard container it came from.

A number of folks expressed displeasure with the pizza that was served. The vendor listened to the complaints and promised an improved product for the BFSP.

I wouldn't sweat it yet Tiny. It took about 2 weeks for a friend of mine to hear.

I just sent in the registration for my first SP at Cherry Springs. Seven hour drive for me and my family and I just did the drive to Boston two weeks ago to see my daughter. I also attended my first Winter Star Party this year and that was 3000 miles round trip. Too much traveling by car. :p

I wonder how the light pollution from the nearby drilling/mining operation is affecting the night sky lately? I heard talk of it earlier this year.

Looking forward to it and hope my registration makes it in time.

I was there in June for Cherry Springs S.P. Absolutely no l.p. effect from the drilling operations; just some manageable ruts in a road leading to the Park. Milky Way was clear from horizon to horizon.

I sent my registration in last Monday. Do you have any idea when they will confirm it by email? When I sent it in there were over 100 spots left.
