A friend of my gave me a My Sky as a present but I noticed that when acquire location through GPS, after a long time it brings me back to the menu to select how to enter the location. Does someone knows how to fix this problem?

Take it outside, to an open area. No big houses or trees to block GPS satellites.

Meade does ""not use that soft ware anymore"" you need to call meade and ask fir a new sd card they may send it for free as they did with me but that was 2 years ago so they may charge a fee. the new software does not use gps anymore thats why meade came out with MySky Plus it does not have the gps unit inside. I can try and post the file that I have but im not sure that will work as I am new to this sight. I am well known In my astro group (HAL- howard county astrolocial luage)for Meade mods to make things work better as well as machine work. Garry

As above; You need to be outside FAR away from any metal objects. If that fails you can get your GPS coordinates and put them in manually. Don T.
