I'm actuually in Bozeman Mt. and there is an RV-6 AND an Edmund Astroscan on CL that you missed! Jeese man WHAT DO WE PAY YOU FOR! The Astroscan would fit in my car (I'm packing two scopes already) The RV-6 you are gonna have to come get
I picked up the SPI 60 X 1000 in Spokane on my way through yesterday and made a first light observation near the Continental Divide at about 6000 feet elevation. Star tests and Jupiter at 3 AM Mountain Daylight Time. I've heard others here complain about the mosquitos where they observe from, but I was more expecting to be eaten by something like a grizzly as I fumbled around in the dark while cursing the optics. Beautiful mechanical build however (I'll maybe do pix tonight) optically stars pretty much appear as three tailed comets. That can't be good! Oh well.
I packed my Asahi Pentax for the trip and had it out twice in Idaho and once in Montana last night and early this morning. And those late hitting Persieds. That was all WOW!

My new approach to flooding this thread is to let listings I find "mature" for a week before posting them to allow locals to have scooped them up. If they're still around, they're fair game. I'll date the ads.
That guy is in dream land wanting $180 for that toy.
8/6. Connecticut. $180.
