Sure looks like the Jason 454/Model 313 Discoverer made by Towa. Funny how many of these are popping up. May be a Bushnell version of it.

Goodwill Industries of Evansville, Indiana currently has a fine looking Swift Instruments 60mm equatorial refractor on its public auction site. This is Swift's model number 839; the photographs show the main optical tube assembly, wooden storage chest, and accessories.

The telescope auction can be viewed by first typing in www.shopgoodwill.com Then either enter the keyword 'Telescope' or go directly to the auction from the listing number of 6621512.

According to the website information, the Goodwill store will not ship the telescope. It must be picked up.

Do you actually see the mount in any of those pictures?

Thanks for the lead - I picked this one up today. Mirror is in excellent shape and turned out besides the ex-bino-occular EP in the scope, the accessory box had a 9mm Celestron Ortho, an Orion nebula filter and a 0.965 to T thread photo adapter that I can use, along with a drive motor and paddle for an older GEM. Definitely worth the trip!

A complete Cave Optical Co. 6-inch F/7 or F/8 equatorially mounted Newtonian reflector telescope on the Chico, California Craigslist. Actually, a price tag of only $50 is the cheapest to date that I have seen for a complete Cave Astrola telescope. The ad was posted on August 22nd, 2010, and the link to the website is found through:

http://chico.craigsl...1912991162.html
(I am not the seller of the telescope.)

Has anyone from the Cloudynight's group already bought this fine vintage reflector telescope? Did it come with any eyepieces or other accessories?

An interesting post for an older refractor telescope. It is described as a "Monolux" brand, but looks much like a Carton Optical Co. model number 619-A. The focal length should also be a corrected F=900mm instead of the 190mm in the ad's header.

The advertisement was posted on August 22nd, 2010, and the link to the website is found through the following link:

(I am not the seller of the telescope.)

Three vintage telescopes to choose from in an advertisement on the San Diego, California Craigslist. The most desirable telescope among the three for amateur astronomers and collectors is the Meade 6-inch #628 optical tube assembly. I wonder what the "box of eyepieces" holds for the future purchaser?

The ad was posted on August 21st, 2010, and the direct link to the website is found through:
