Has anyone seen a projected date for the AT6RC backorder to ship?

How about giving Astromomics a ring: 800-422-7876

If they don't know nobody does.

I don't think anyone knows:

[Tom] Hello, my name is Tom, how may I help you?
[Jeff] Do you have an expected date for the AT6RC back order?
[Tom] 30 days
[Jeff] from today? September 20?
[Tom] Sorry but there is no firm dates to variables such as customs.
[Jeff] OK, thanks
[Tom] Thank you

Cloudy-Nights-Stampede-Effect (CNSE)

Very similar to the Hyperion zoom (CNSE)...oh then as the dust settled a bit they released the Mark III. "YeeHaw!"

We can't firm a date. With holiday delivery and customs delays it would be unwise for us to guess. They are coming. We could speed up the process, but the optics would suffer and I know nobody wants that.

Nobody likes BO.

I was a litle concerned that I wasn't quick enough to get one of the last few left in stock the next batch would be rushed and not as good as the previous batches that were sold for 3x the price.

Let them take their time I say. A better product in the end will be worth it. I don't think Mike even charged my card yet... Right? :)

All true..it's not like I do not have enough to keep me busy! I would rather have a good scope than a rushed scope, and no, Astronomics is not charging CCs until the AT6RCs ship.

Mine's back-ordered, too. My reference books indicate that, fortunately, the Universe is expected to be the same in a month or two as it is now...

Hi Rusty,
Nice tagline! Yep, nothing much is going to change...maybe the skies will be a bit clearer without the summer heat and humidity. :)

Hey not to worry. Like Mike said, they are coming! Just think it could be worse, we could be on the AP refractor list! ...and aplogies to anyone who is! :rainbow:

Yeah, I don't mind waiting to get it right! Not like I don't have OTHER things to mess with equipment-wise... ;)

Now I just have to figure out how (if!) I can mount it simultaneously with my C11 and FSQ106ED! Much thinking on THAT!

I am thinking that based on Michael's earlier comments that it will be after Labor Day...as he did mention the upcoming holiday. I figure I will be happy when I get the email that the scope has shipped. :jump: Until then, patience is a virtue.

One BIG upside.
When I talked to Astronomics last, they had more scopes coming in than people on the waiting list. We will all get our back-orders this time.

Funny how those little extras add up! You end up buying things you never even knew existed.

Does anyone have an idea of where to get the shorter extensions for the AT6RC so a DSLR will come to focus? I have the understanding that one of the included extensions is too short and adding both of them is too long.

I don't believe that the 6" model comes with any extensions. I think you'll need a 1" plus a 2" for a DSLR but folks who have that setup can tell you for sure.
