I have a friend who is a War correspondent currently in Afghanistan. He has a Canon 5D MK II spectrum modded camera and wants to try out some AP from there on his down time(tripod stuff of the Milky Way, nebulae around Scorpius...) but he has a Mac. He is wanting to register and stack short subs and I suggested he use Deep Sky Stacker as that is what I use...Then he told me about the Mac. At a loss here for suggestions as I use x64 Windows and am currently researching a *NIX dual boot on my setup.

Any help would be appreciated...
Don

Craig Stark's Nebulosity software works great on a Mac! It does an excellent job registering and stacking subexposures, and has a bunch of other features as well.

I'll never understand how there's so much PC development for something scientific/photography oriented.
