Such an economy of words could describe almost anything - including tarnished, scripted brass. Someone live near Raleigh-Durham?

Anyone looking for a telescope for $800. It is your standard generic type.

http://raleigh.craig...2225309879.html

I am not the seller - thank goodness.

Wow - should go quick!

I was interested until I realized I already have one just like it!

Someday I really think I will run this ad on CL. "Old car from the 60s, great shape! Bought new and only used 6 times. $800 OBO. No pictures available and I know nothing about it."

Microscopes on tripods are rare I hear. Seriously, IIRC this scope is coveted by many as it came with the Starfinder handbox-predecessor to the AutoStar!

Aaahh those Harbormaster knockoffs. Better start buying them up now. Be worth a "small" fortune and in 30 years you'll be kicking yourselves. Me? I'll probably be long gone by that time so I'll pass for now thankyou! :lol:Mike

The seller is eager to show/sell that Tasco telescope. It was offered for $115, then $100, and then $75 over a few hours on Saturday He couldn't/wouldn't answer my questions about the condition of the objective lens ("glass at the big end of the tube") or send me any higher res pics of anything.

75$ ? He should be happy to have it hauled off for free.
I wonder what glass (if any) is missing, and which end the seller considers the "front".
