I had such great success with the setting circle pattern for my 8" Dob, I also created an azimuth version for my 3" Celestron First Scope (see attached). If you are printing out the PDF on 8.5" x 11" paper using the Adobe PDF Reader, you'll need to make sure when you hit the print button to select "None" for "Page Scaling:", otherwise it'll shrink the output size a bit.

...and here's the source code for the PostScript program I used to generate that setting circle. The programmers in our midst can see how to modify that to generate graduated circles of any diameter. (see the attached, or below)

Here is a replacement Altitude stripe by the great J.T. Senghas of Cloudynights.

This fits Skywatcher AZ-4 Alt-Az head and it's rebranded cousins.

Thanks J.T and CN ! Holy work.

Two-way circle. Take the file to  Staples or UPS store to have it resized to any size desired.

It may be difficult to find but if you go to a professional blue print shop they will have a mylar media available that will accept injet printing and will be completely water proof after it is done.  I keep a roll of it in my office for printing maps etc.   I did a 23" Azimuth circle for my Light Bridge using it and it has worked very well.

Does anyone have a verticle strip template for mounting on the circumference of a base?

Paul,

Sorry, I haven't been on in several days. Here's a 360-Ruler using Excel which came from some post here on CN. I'll be looking for it but wanted to get this to you. I don't know how to size it but maybe you do. I think I remember that there's instructions with the post, that's why I'll be looking for it.

Found it. It's post 1172 of the Degree Circles thread in the Equipment Forum.
