Don't know if this is still available but someone might want to check it out:

Just ran across this small GOTO brand scope. Haven't seen one like this before. Is it a finder? Dimensions provided are confusing. Could be 18mm (aperture) x 7 inches (length)?

Mike, thanks for the info. The picture somehow doesn't look right anyway. I wonder if someone just put together a scope and mounted it on a Pacific Instruments pedestal?

You should keep bugging him. If he gets no interest he might change his mind.

I've been bugging him constantly since last week and he said a woman is supposed to come by and pick it up today. He also wrote me back yesterday and said he could ship with a friends company but I think he's waiting to see if the other buyer will show up first. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will not show up. :fingerscrossed:

Crossed fingers worked! Gentleman called me tonight and says other buyer didn't show so I get next chance. Waiting to hear back, I'll keep you posted.

This scope has been on the LA Craigslist a number of times over the past year or more. It's finally being offered at what might be a reasonable price, I think. I seem to remember that the "two spotting scopes" were a pair of Jaegers refractor OTAs. It'd be neat to see more pics. I'm not "in the market" due to some fiscal constraints (and a shop full of telescopes!) at the moment, or I'd call, I think. Newt/Cass

Yes - I think the ebay 1 is possibly a modified 152.

So, I went to PATS all day today, and I didn't spend a dime!

...but my wife went to the Golden West College swap meet and bought a telescope!

Nothing fancy, just a Meade 114EQ in an orion duffle bag for $20. Coolest thing in the bag was the S&T Pocket Star Atlas. I'd never seen one before. It's actually quite cool! As detailed as my old Skalnate, and a whole lot more "portable!"

Tim, sounds like you bought a nice star atlas and got a scope for free.
I have the S&T Pocket Atlas and think it is a well put together little reference.

I guess the weight drive is missing. I bought a 1953 M-160 back in 05 for $500 with a missing weight drive.
