Has anyone here mounted a laser pointer/finder to a telescope then used the sky scout to find a target? When the two agree on coordinates then the object should be in the finderscope?

I tried that some time ago with my Portaball 12.5".
It works to some degree if you are very careful and get it all aligned, but the bottom line is that the Skyscout is simply not accurate and repeatable enough to provide guidance accurate enough to be convenient to use.
