I am going to pick up my second GPS 11" in about two weeks. The first one, pictured in 2014, I sold to fund my astro imaging setup that is remotely operated.

I plan on picking up a CPC1100 from a guy in NY in May. I have already bought a lot of accessories for the new beast, but I plan on loading it onto a Scope Buggy to roll around the yard and neighborhood, since I have a lot of trees to out maneuver. It will stay on the Scope Buggy all year round, under a Telegizmo's 365 cover.

Gotta love a 365 cover!

Hi all

Great to find this thread and see so many great pictures of your set ups!

I will get a pic of my CPC 925.

Mine is fairly standard but I fitted a Telrad to film the ISS. Its good to see Ive mounted mine where many of you guys have too.

I have been thinking about a wedge and I had found it difficult to find picture of CPCs mounted on a wedge...before I found this thread.

Cheers Chaps

Close up of the working end!

I find this a handy spot to store the main end cap.

I find the little red power light a bit annoying so I usually keep an end cap from the spotting scope over it.

Ok friends thats all for now.

My new to me CPC 1100. First mod was to put it on wheels so I can roll it out of the garage and move around on our decomposed granite driveway. Just could not see parting with $400-500 for an off the shelf set of wheels. Spent $80 for a set of wheels and the base flange fittings and had the 2x4 and misc hardware in-stock.

This is all new to me so I don't have any 2" glassware. Just the left over, low quality, 1.25" stuff from an 8" refelctor and everything that comes with the CPC 1100. Also bought a StarSense with the scope but have not messed with it yet. Another addition is a 12V 18AH battery that is now mounted on the 2x4.

All I've really done with it is confirm that everything works. Even though the finder scope is pretty low end I like using it for locating so it may be a while before I even try the StarSense. It's kind of like fishing where half the fun is finding them and then getting one on the hook. If I was just placed in a fishing hole, pole in hand with a fish on the hook, it would not be as much fun.

I ended up modding my 11 CPC EDGE. I made a new front plate and added a power level meter and put rechargeable batteries in the left fork arm. For details of the complete mod see the link below.

I have two CPC 925s. This one shown here is permanently fitted with Hyperstar (f/2.3), often use it for EAA. The other (not shown) is used for lunar & planet imaging. The two of them are set up on permanent wedges (S 37.7 deg) in a roll-off observatory. Roll it off, flick a switch & the CPCs are ready to go. This one is also fitted with a home-made corrector plate heater, StarSense, a Starlight Feather Touch Micro Focuser with stepper motor, & some maglev fans at the rear.

The 6" wheels were not cutting it for rolling the rig across the lawn so I've upgraded to some 10" wheels. Much better mobility now and overall only 2" taller.

I've also added a better diagonal, a feathertouch focuser, Bob's Knobs and made the Reflectix dew shield. Oh . . and a few EP's wink.gif
