Assuming everything is in working order, that's a good deal. No, it's not the 'latest and greatest' technology, but any 10" scope is capable of showing more objects than many observers will ever get around to seeing.
If I recall correctly, the LX-50 series used the same heavy-duty fork mounting as the original LX-200's. That, along with the Super Wedge should provide a very stable platform.
Good luck with your new 'toy'!

and the superwedge is a good one as well, much beefier then the standard. 160$ shipping isn't all that bad from Hawaii, especially with all the goodies you will be getting.
those are the deals I like to grab..course that is how i keep getting scopes. Now I just have to force myself to sell them.

That is the best part about buying these used, usually you get tons of accessories. Even an 8" so equipped would have been a screaming deal and you got a 10"!!!!

Oops- that means ya gotta change yer sig line
Congrats on a great deal! I've been using a 10" LX-50 for nine years, & have a blast with it! Mine has the Magellan, but only the std. wedge and is only used for visual. But it's rock solid & stable, is easy to use & usually very ergonomic (some weight issues for transport & setup), & works well for crowds of folks to view & play with focus to taste- not gonna get easily knocked off-target.
Best wishes to you on yer new acquisition!... be seein' ya in the CAT forums, eh?
