you may not like storing it but they really suce a scope up..and with some top rails, may be they only way to go ..
look forward to a pic of the whole thing set up.

Southmike, yes it is a hard dew shield: what do you mean by top rails?

when I started adding on to my Lx200.. I added a counterweight and top rail with a guide scope..
the rail is just a dovetailed aluminum bar that holds the rings for piggy backing the guide scope....
But they made the diameter of the tube larger so the orion flex shield wont fit now...So I cured it with a nice big blue hard shield. I suppose i could cut it ..but then it would have to be re-stitched ....

One more thing, even: since every time I use the scope I have to pack it back up, adding a rail on top and counterweight on the bottom, will not allow me to store inside the celestron case it came in, no?

I had to delete the other pic ,as I didn't have it scaled right. the one in the link is better
but still pretty grainy. Personally I like ADM telescope rings..They are super stable ,and a lot less then the losmandy.
