:jump:This brilliant animation of the scale of the universe was done by 14 year old twin brothers! It is a great teaching tool and I thought I would share it with the group. Enjoy

Wow. What a great job they did. I've bookmarked it. Thanks. And was also surprised that they even accounted for inflation!

(One question tho...what's this "center of the universe" stuff? Yes, I know all about pre-Copernican notions, have the TED Talk "The universe has no center and yer not in it," etc., but I need it explained to me how, if there's "no center," there's not therefore also a "center" everywhere as astronomers are quick to point out (i.e., that the distances will be the same from every vantage point, same homogeneity, etc., etc.). If we're so "enlightened," shouldn't we be droppin any talk of sumthin which doesn't exist? [Unless we're willin to concede Wittgenstein's quip, when remarked to that the pre-Copernicans musta been really stupid to have thought the sun revolved around the earth...
W: "Why did they ever think it did?"
R: "Well, because it seemed that way, I suppose."
W: "And how would it have seemed if the sun DID revolve around the earth?"])
