Well, maybe... I'd say the time is right to change the name of this forum to "astronomy apps for cell phones," since SkySafari, SkyQ and similar for the iPhone and Android have rung down the old curtain on the SkyScout. :bawling:

Yeah, I gotta say you are right, Unca Rod. I forgot I have a Meade MySky. Just came across the manual accidentally last night.Made me look for the MySky. Found it and was embarrassed that I bought one.
Was thinking (awhile ago(years?) of getting a SkyScout.
Glad I didn't, Sky Safari on my cell just blew them all away!

Rod,you might be right in some cases, but some of us are stuck with Older elctronics.. The New stuff you get in the market today, will be usless in 2 or 3 years from now. But if it still works, why not keep it around.
There are forums here on CN that can be regrouped. Also groups I feel need to be removed, but some folks might take it badly to even mention to ideal. There is a thread I am reading about Astro media subjects on Books, printed Atlases and other printed meterials verses electronic media.
Some say that printed media should go as the dinosuars.
Lets keep this forum around a little while,or at least until they have to remove my hands from my cold frozen dead fingers off the buttons of my Sky Scout as I am at the scope reading one of the many books you wrote and wished I gotten you to signed when we talked last at a couple of Star Parties in the past.
