Folks,
I am looking for Information on what is the BEST rechargable batteries for my Sky Scout. Can anybody give me some feedback and your exsperience ?
Since I know nothing about rechargable batteries, how many charges can they do,how long do they last, also I got an OLD recharge device for Nickle Cadium Batteries. Can they recharge any other kind of rechargeable batteries ?

How does it hold-up to different environmental outside conditions like Cold,Humidity,Heat ?
Thanks, Bill

Generally rechargeable batteries don't work very well with the power hungry Scout, especially in cold weather.

I use the bulk pack alkalines when they come on sale, nearly all the rechargable ones only deliver 1.25 volts anyway even when new and fully charged, I have had issues with rechargables in my Sky Scout , cameras and IS binos, the funny thing is that the ones supplied with my cam corder works fine with it (Kodak),DA.

If you use rechargeable; use NiMh (Nickel Metal Hydride) of at least 2800 mAh. A freshly charged set will work very well. Buy a good brand..Energizer or Duracell. This is what I use and they are excellent.

Rechargeable battries does not work. Use "LITHIUM" battries. Though, It is quite expensive but they run quite long compare with reguler battries.
