I have to clean and lubricate some parts and hopefully we have some clear nights next week.It should be a very good telescope for what I have read so far.......
Serial number is L-715024.

Question......did Royal Astro also rebranded these LN 6E's ?
My 4" version of it is an Optica b/c, so they did rebrand them.

Thanks for all the thumbs up !.....It seems that in the US they are rare also.Price was around $575 including the drive ( late sixties ).Don't know of this was a high price at the time.

In the 1968 Optica b/c catalog, the price for the 6DTC (same as your scope) was listed as $479 plus $75 for the motor drive. That was a lot of money in 1968. As a comparison, the 4" was $196 plus $75 for the clock drive. Their 76mm refractor with a pedestal and clock drive was $752. The 6" observatory refractor was a mere $5,000. I still kick myself for not buying that 6" reflector when is was auctioned.
