Any thoughts of the ETX-8 w/autostar, tripod, & a few other accessories for a 2nd quick scope? I have an 8" Dob, & wanted to get a "go-to" that would be easy to take out for short periods of time that I don't want to lug my Dob; Also don't want to spend $$$ as I would put that money into my Dob. Thanks.

See this thread for a discussion of the ETX-80. It sounds like a short tube 80 on the ETX mount - useful like a ST80 primarily for big objects like the double cluster, Veil and North American Nebulae, etc. It probably won't hold up for high magnification viewing of planets. Depends on what you want to see, but you may want to go for the ETX-90 or get something with more aperture.
