Hi how do you find the c11 on the cg-5 is it shaky or well within the weight limits of the mount? My C11 & CG5-GT waiting for the night on my balcony. Unfortunately the place I live is highly light polluted (red zone) I can only see some planets and the moon.

Which method did you use? Did you leave any scratches (or did it scratch you)? Does it pass the flashlight test? Here is my Cat after a good cleaning.

I want to know how he collimates it.
Or perhaps I don't....

She doesn't have anything to do with me for about 3 days after a bath!
As you can see it isn't her favorite thing to do.
Elbow length gloves and goggles work, I look like I am in a SWAT Team before, and a WET SWAT Team after..
Then She walks around for an hour shaking one foot at a time
Here's Her Playmate!

Yes, it's great to have a field as a backyard to set up in. Skies are pretty good, too!
Yeah, it's just bubbly reflective insulation stuff. There's a layer on the inside, under the flocking, too.Is that tube wrapped in a thermal blanket?
Meh. I'm just afraid my CAT might chew on it if I put a rug downWhere's your Persian rug ?
I'm using a dolly meant for a Bogen #3068 tripod. The CGEM tripod fit pretty well, so I just used that. Would have liked bigger wheels, but it works.what are you using for a dolly ?

TEC MC250M out in a soggy UK winter night... :
Just a question on your MC250, at the bottom of the page I read “TEC MC250 f/10 22% co.”As far as I know TEC produced two versions of this Mak, f/20 and f/12, do not believe that there was a f/10.
Yes? No?

Her is my C11 on a CG5 with a new Orion Pier Extension. I no longer need to adjust the tripod legs.
Have you noticed a difference in stability since adding the pier? I have the same setup and have almost purchased a C11 a few times, but have yet to do so because of the uncertainty of the pier extension and the weight of the OTA.

Here is my latest visual set up....... and I have been having an absolute "hoot" with it. In my opinion, the 41mm Panoptic is a match made in heaven for the C11 giving a 1 degree field of view with around 4mm exit pupil.
So in the picture we have....
Celestron C11 OTA (flocked and fitted with peltier coolers) plus Baader 3.25" Click Lock as well a Feathertouch microfocuser (which only arrived a couple of days ago)
Skywatcher AZ EQ6 mount
I have the Dewbuster mounted to the top rail (with heater straps for the OTA, finderscope and eyepiece), therefore minimising setup time when at a dark site.
Cheers,
Daniel
