There were many many reviews that came in last minute. These will all be posted over the next few days. The cutoff for article submission was the 31 - we hope to have the rest of the reviews posted within the next few days to a week.

Looks like some of the last minute reviews were pretty good. Having read the reviews I can say a few things

* The Quality of the Telescope being reviewed is in no way correlated with the quality of the writing.
* People who write pages analysing the optics of their scope around focus will happily post out of focus snapshots of the gear with their review.
* Whoever wins may find a can opener comes in handy ;-)

Well I'd like to think that some objective measures will be used - such as length of review, spelling and use of photos - and I'm not just saying that because I wrote the longest review... or am I?

Personally I am impressed by the level of the reviews published over the past week. A while ago, a lot of reviews were, well, nice to read but not very informative. Here we have some very thorough analyses, which provide the qualitative and quantitative information you look for in a review.

Yep, don't rush them, I want to make sure they give those really long reviews proper consideration.
