Yep, my understanding is that this will make a vast improvement to an already well performing scope. Those that are interested in imaging should be very happy with this release.

Because I'm a beta tester for the GPS series firmware. I don't have any input into how things are done however, so don't ask ;)

Yes. Like the compass,etc. The last update/download didnt require any calibration.
