I've made a run of 1.25" to 2.00" adapters. I'm calling them the "On Axis" Adapters. They are a bit different than any others I have seen. These Adapters have the following features:

A dual angle CNC machined Delrin Collet similar to what machine tools use to hold drills and end mills. This will not mar your EP barrels, and will help to insulate them from being cooled by the Aluminum adapter body.

Fully CNC Machined 6061 T-6 Aluminum body and nut. The body is threaded on the back to accept both 1.25" and 48mm filters. This will allow you to use the same filter and change EP's without having to unscrew your filter.

No thumbscrew! I'm not particularly fond of thumbscrews, so with this adapter just 1/2 turn of the nut will allow you to remove your EP! Works well with gloves on too!

The body has three grooves machined into for your focusers thumbscrew to seat. The body has been machined to a tight tolerance of 2.000" to 2.001".

I'm selling these for $75.00 each shipping included in the US for CN members only. PM me if you want one.

I forgot to add that the face of the nut has been counterbored to minimize the distance away from the focuser tube for the EP.

I probably should have stated that this adapter was designed for use with Crawford focusers. If you have a Helical focuser use a standard adapter.

Sure I can. I have had some problems in the past though. A part I made was held up in customs until the guy was notified to come and pay the tax. If you want one please include your phone number in case customs needs to contact you.

Got mine today - it's REALLY nice! I played with it just changing out eyepieces and filters and I think it's going to work quite well. I'm looking forward to getting to use it for real!

:jump:

Thanks, Mark!!

I've been getting some feedback. One thing to check is if your 1.25" barlows will hit the filters. This can happen with the TV 2.5x Powermate because it has a narrow end. Anything that is 1.25" on the barrel would be stopped before hitting a filter.

these are great, and they're made really well- definitely a work of art. 1/4 turn is all it takes to tighten or loosen the ep... :)

I got mine also, another beautiful work of fully functional and ingenious art from Mr. Mickels! This will be replacing my 1.25" to 2" adapter permanently.

First off I gotta tell you I'm a buddy of Marks...with that said, he's a great precision machinist and the simplicity of this adapter surpasses anything I've used to date.

I've put this gem thru its paces and found it highly utilitarian. What's your next thingy Mark?

& BTW I'd like that continental cranberry sauce recipe...
