I saw this for sale on Craigslist in Seattle yesterday:

Unitron Astronomical Telescope- 3 inch Equatorial Refractor Model 142. Five eyepieces included as well as owners manual, tripod and packing boxes. Excellent condition.

Asking price: $125

I answered the ad but recieved no reply, and by this morning the ad was gone. :bawling:

I'm not sure what these go for, but I think someone got a great deal.

They did.

A 4" Model 150 went on eBay the other day about 6 hours after the auction posted for the 'Buy it Now' price of $1,350.00. That was a good deal too.

FWIW, I dug out a 1959 issue of S&T to check the original price of a Unitron 3" equatorial.
$435 waaaaay back then!
That's gotta be close to $3000 in today's money.
$125 sounds like a good price...
