Anacortes is advertising a brand new FSQ-130 for sale.  It is apparently the last NEW one available for sale.

Heywood

Not anymore! ;) Thanks for the heads up Heywood.

To change Tak, a geeky question. Which refractors have or had Japanese lettering on their OTAs & dew shields, instead of, or in addition to English romaji?

Man this is an excellent question that I have often wondered about but never researched. Maybe the resident expert can shed a light on this one. Tami?

This thread is about Takahashi telescopes. It's in the refractors forum. I just got rid of a bunch of posts that were about Televue. Please stay on the topic of Takahashi telescopes in this thread. A great thing to do would be to start a thread bout Tak versus TV but that's not what this thread is about.

Looking forward to your results with dual extenders.  I always love this modular design.

Has anyone tried the Extender QE 1.6x in the TSA120? The QE is made for the FSQ 106EDX4 and includes both a flattener and 1.6x extender.

Tak recommend the ED 1.5x extender for their TSA120, so I use that one.

I had to remove 7 more off topic posts from this thread. We are not discussing places in the Pacific north west where one might find dark skies. If you need that information look at the dark sky map or start a thread about it in general observing. If this goes off topic one more time I'll have to lock the thread.
