Okay Ladies and Gentlemen, we are going to give it another try.  There are some new rules concerning this thread, so please read them all carefully before you post.  Let's try and maintain the spirit of the thread.  Please PM me or any other Classics forum mod if you have questions, we'll get back to you as soon as possible.   Thank you!

A few reminders:

1) The basic guidelines for this thread is to list ads that we find that others may be interested in. It is not attempting to replace CL or EBay as a site to find ALL possible classic ads.  Please keep to actual 'classic' equipment.  (If you have to ask if its 'classic', it probably isn't.)

2) Do not post your own ads or the ads of your friends. This is considered sale promotion in the open forums and this is a violation of the CN TOS. Please post your ads in the S&S forum or the CNC.

3) Do not post photos from ads.  If you must have some reference to the photo in the post, then post a URL link to the photo, not the photo itself.

4) Do not post the entire ad text (or large blocks of it) without permission from the author.

5) Try to concentrate on the item for sale and not the seller.

6) When posting ads, please describe the item (make/model/price or if unknown basic type info (3" refractor on a Gem), not something completely generic) as text in the post. This has been the style that this thread has used over the years. If you have any trouble interpreting this, look to the old threads for the style used.

7) Future ad posts that do not follow posting guidelines or appear to be for items that really have no business in this thread may be removed at moderator discretion.

8) Buyer beware - there are some scams floating around, so do your homework before pursuing any ad.

9) Please limit yourself to 1 'found ad' post per hour.  If you find more items, just edit your prior post and add them, or simply wait to save your post until you are done looking at the other sites.

10) Discussions can occur about the equipment in the ads.  Please keep the non found posts to the actual topic of the items in the ad post.

11) Posts may be moved to new threads if the noise level gets too high on particular ads.  If that occurs, all additional comments on the ad should be in the new thread.

12) Ads that are odd or have humor may find a better home in the Favorite Used Telescope Ad thread.

CN is in no way responsible for the content of these linked ads.

Those are rare scopes and only made for  short while.   The only blue Unitrons/Polarex OTA's.

I always add the posted shipping to the total...

It's about $75 more than I paid for my Monolux 4380, but it's probably older -- optics should be about as good.

The Unitron 114 on eBay is at about $223 now... predict a nail-biting final hour on the bidding!

And, I see that the Unitron 150 that's been on CL, and now eBay is at BIN $1300... I'll be glad when someone buys it -- it's been too tempting, even with two clamshells.

Hmmm... that C90 is within driving range of me.  I'm not interested, but I could check it out for a CNer who wants it.  Looks to be in good shape, and at a decent starting bid.

Some .965 good eyepieces:

Saw these while thread was down.  I see these all the time lately - it really ticks me off that sellers will put up a C90 without at least one eyepiece and a diagonal, etc. but I know why they do it...

Yamamoto Seisakusho 60 mm  BIN $159 + ~ $60 Economy (HA!) shipping.

http://www.ebay.com/...mm/251620825349

The description can't be trusted (it says alt-az) and the shipping is a skinning.  Looks to be in amazing condition tho - maybe they'd allow Local Pickup.

Helinon (Circle-T) 50x600 for $145 BIN + shipping, a real cutie.  Plastic knobs makes it 70s?

Looks almost like the Jason Discoverer I got last year:

The finish on the GEM is pebbled, mine is thick gloss black, but the chrome hardware and slow-motion cables are the same. Is it missing one?

The layout of the case is a little different and mine has a built-in box with a latch for the eyepieces, but the olive cloth straps are the same.

The color of the OTA is not the Jason gray/silver with engraved rings on the dewshield.

The same stapled dessicant packets.

Lighter color tripod, mine is darker with gold stripes, can't see if there are rubber feet.

I've got the original receipt from 1967 - $119.50. JTII H631348.

A Vixen 1.25" adapter threaded in just fine, and it gives good views. The tripod takes a while to dampen, though.
