Hey guys,

I'm in the market for a padded case for my Mach 1 which has a 15" saddle plate. I don't want to take the mount apart for transportation. What are my options? I see Scopeguard has a case for $400 that looks like it would fit my configuration. Are there any other options that are less expensive (~$200) without being cheap?

Thanks.

I use a Pelican 1600 case for my mach1 but I have a 12" saddle plate. I can measure the case tonight and post a photo showing how much clearance you have at the saddle plate. that might help.

I would really appreciate that. I've heard people recommend the 1600, but I thought that the space was a bit tight for the larger saddle plate. Looking forward to your reply.

Geza, sorry about the delay. The 15" saddle will not fit in the Pelican 1600.

I actually have an 8" AP saddle not a 12". The photos attached shows the Mach1 in the Pelican 1600 case with another saddle which is an ADM 7"

No worries Andy, thanks for checking. I'll just get a Scopeguard case then, but I'll make sure it (15" saddle plate + RAPAS) all fits.

That is probably the safest route. The scopeguard also has a better foam.

And here is the case. Mount, 15" saddle plate, and RAPAS all fit comfortably.

Looks Nice! I use a Pelican Storm im2875 and works fine for me.
