Forgive me if this has been answered-  but I've spent the past two days reading through this thread, trying to figure out if it is possible to mod my A9 camera. From what I gather, I can't do the full spectrum mod, but I can't find any information about if it's possible to just remove the FP2 filter and still preserve the blocking of the calibration IR.

Can anyone give me a more concrete answer? Really appreciate all of the knowledge.

How do you surmise that you can't do full-spectrum mod on A9? Generally, it is the bonding of the LPF1 and LPF2 that determines whether a full-spectrum vs. 'Removed LPF-2' mod is possible or not on any (Sony) camera. Do you know for sure whether filters are bonded or not in A9? Regards

EDIT: I see you might be getting at IR internal pollution post-mod. Yes, A9 falls in that (...to avoid mod) list of cameras. That would 'likely' entail a bonded LPF scenario for A9. More here....
