I've been quite lazy and should have posted these images...a year ago
But better late that never so here it goes: cutting a long year short, these images are my first of my 2nd year in imaging (about 15 months ago) when I stopped with my 1st year's rig (a c11 edge HD with Hyperstar and and Honis RGB modded 600d...beautiful camera and mod).
On this debut of my 2nd year i decided to give my dear friend Luis Campos a vote of confidence and buy and try out his 1st MonoMod - monochromatic and TEC/Peltier cooled - canon 450d camera with me new 2nd year setup: an Orion Optics CT 8 newt.
Keep in mind that I only had one year of imaging and that I had never tried doing H-alpha...or a used a monochrome camera.
Well, below are my 1st four results with the incredible Luis Campos MonoMod.
- The Horsehead (my 1st ever monchrome and h-alpha image9 won a 1st place in a Deep Space Imaging contest.
- The lagoon was used (with it's color version) by Orion Optics UK for one of their "satisfied clients" ads
