No, just had the vanes at different angles to each other, both appeared, neither flickered.

Looks like maybe another binoscope myth has been dispelled !

Well...I’m not sure that a pair of 7 x 50’s is a myth-buster, but its a good start. Perhaps the phenomena was observed because someone had thick vanes and strong spikes, whereas with thin vanes with minimal spikes the phenomena isn’t apparent. Thats what I’m hoping in any case. 
 

Meanwhile I’ve done so much work on my curved vane secondary support that I will complete them anyway; I’m only waiting on delivery of some 100mm M4 screws, and the opportunity to clean up after the last epoxy infusion. I’ll put them together, take some pics, write it up for CN and then...probably put them away in a draw never to be seen again!

 

That way if I do experience an annoying flicker I’ll just revert to plan K.
