I like the star you added Rick.......This is a super logo and works both on the dome and on adverts/shirts/hats ect. ect.

The "EXPLORA-DOME REVOLUTION IS HERE"

Can Dan provide us with any hints on getting paint to stick to the PE without the flame or Ozone treatments? I want to paint the inside midnight blue or flat black.

Hey there- looks like during the time I got signed up and approved, you all came up with a new name for your product- I have several I'd like to throw into the pot anyway- here goes:
STAR-DEN --get up off the couch and away from the TV and go ino your STAR-DEN
STAR-LAIR --a place to hide out and do your stuff
STAR-WARE --product to examine the sky
STAR-BEAR --hibernation module for examining the stars- logo something like Ursa major- the great bear
Well good luck folks- seems like quite a nice product coming up- hope you get a distributor in New Mexico

There are new paint products designed to work with Poly and plastic products...

Krylon Fusion...

Available in 16 colors, Krylon Fusion forms a superior bond to all types of clean, dry plastic surfaces including ABS, polypropylene, polyethylene, PVC, vinyl, resin, and even ceramic, glass, tile, wood, metal, wicker and other hard-to-bond-to surfaces. The spray paint resists fading and chipping in outdoor exposure and yields an extremely durable, high-gloss finish and a fast, 15-minute dry time.

Heres a link to more info...

From what I've seen, there is also a "Satin-Black" available so you don't need to use Gloss... :)

Yes it does. Can't say for sure that's what it will look like. All we'd really need is basically what Dale has shown here. No "piano hinge". Just a steel rod inserted through drilled holes and some set screw "collars" to keep it all in place and alignment.
