I do not normally take pictures as I prefer to do visual, but here is a picture taken in 2013 of full moon.

This was taken with my beloved Celestron C5+ SCT and a Pentax K10D dslr that has a ccd sensor, aps-c size.

  Thanks for looking,  Mike

I just snapped a few pics with the cellphone last night while I was locking up my shop. Telescope is one I'm building with a damaged 110mm x 495mm yaegers lens set. It's a single image and I edited it on my phone to. I thought it was pretty good because you can see artifacts as small as 5km. My 160mm f8 reflecter about the best I've done was 2.5km. Central valley California heat and light pollution are a real killer on the good view. Oh actual time was 8:07 pm when I took it. post-306191-0-06632400-1626493878.jpg

First Moon pic with the ZenithStar 61mm and Neptune-CII camera. I wanted to try a full disc shot and the 61mm is the only scope that will do it. It's a one minute AVI processed in Autostakkert and finished up in Photoshop.

Here's a photo of the waxing gibbous moon that I took with my 90mm F14 Maksutov. This is just a single frame with no post processing, only a little contrast and brightness adjustments.

Here's a rather mediocre hand-held afocal iPhone image of the waxing crescent Moon that I took on July 14th using a 5" f/5 achromatic refractor.  The Moon was low in the sky at the time and the conditions were far from ideal.

Oh don't feel bad I just deleted about 10 pictures of my cell phone that were worse than that. Nothing even close to keeping the last time out. JW

After imaging Jupiter, I took some images of the moon last night. 15% of ~2,500 stacked and sharpened in AS3, then RGB balance and contrast adjustments were made in RS6.

This is from Boxing Day 2020 with Stellarvue 130 f/7 triplet. I think the eyepiece was a 22T4 Nagler.

Taken with Google Pixel 3 [cellphone], minor edits with Google Photo Editor.

This is from 18 of June 2021 with 4" fluorite doublet refractor. Afocal shots [Pixel 3] thru Tak LE eyepieces.

I made some color adjustments and thought it showed good mineralization, but it also made false color more visible.. worth it?

It's been very pleasant and clear here the last week, but the heat, humidity, and smoke are coming back.  I looked at Venus as the sun was setting, then I took a few pics of the moon:

I'll go back out and look at Saturn and Jupiter later.

Nice! What scope were you using?

Yesterday I tried daylight lunar imaging for the first time. The 70% Moon was at ~45° altitude at 8AM. I left the bluish color balance as is because it gives a feeling of daylight, which I found intetesting. One image from my gallery is attached below (hope it isn't more then 500kB). 3 wider-view images are at the end of the gallery.

It's a 4.5" f8 dob I built:

I'm using a SVBony SV105 camera.  I just use the camera app with my Chromebook and sometimes I get lucky.
